copied from flavorator ( hypnotized cookies)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Separate the dough into as many bowls as colors you want to make for the cookies.

Work in as much food coloring as need to get the desired color.

Pinch off pieces of the dough and form a loose log shape on a piece of parchment paper. If you do some really little pieces and some larger it creates a very nice variation in the dough.

Roll up the cookies in the parchment to form a log. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour or overnight.

Cut cookies about 1/4 inch thick. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

Cheering at my MCKK sports day 2013

Had a good big laugh at this newspaper article on how the Kenningtons Primary Academy in Aveley, Essex wrote to all parents saying the annual sports day for children would be for "children only !". The school has banned parents from attending their children’s sports day for fear of causing the pupils stress....Alamak... if it would be Aqil's school it would be otherwise then...it will cause the parents stress instead ...If I am banned from watching my Aqil perform on his sports day, then I am banning him to participate....

Again this year we attended the MCKK sports day event. Sports days would always be the highlight of my annual calendar, its something that i can support my Aqil at, if i can... so far we didn't miss out on this valuable bits of Aqil's childhood n school events... guess Aqil would really feel terrible about me of not going... Are there parents who actually like this? I am always hoping he will be thrilled to see me every now and then... Bring a treat for myself though... and i will feel guilty for rest of the week if i didnn't go. ..

Of course, I particularly and strongly support AHMAD house as two of my family members are from AHMAD house...

The four sports houses in this school- AHMAD (black), SULAIMAN (red), IDRIS (white), MOHD SHAH (yellow). So, they had inter-house competition on this day. The march-past by the PBSM, Cadets, Fire Brigades, Scouts, School Band Orchestra etc. The inter-house competitions consisted house drama where students perform different actions and inter-house relay matches later on.

Surprisingly i used to hate sports during my school secondary time, the PE or anything that I might be centre of attention in, whether good or bad...the fact is I am still hates the egg and spoon race , hopping around in an itchy sack and ending up face flat on the ground and the worst game ever tying one leg to somebody elses while they dragged over the finishing line...it sounds really enjoyable but for me its just like a maniac fools having fun in the middle of the field..

So i am glad schools nowadays have adopted a 'competitive’ Sports Day nothing like those days...and i am so pleased that Aqil doesn’t have to endure the Sports Days of my youth years...hahahaha

The ceremony started in the afternoon around 2.30. It started a march-past of all house athletes/representatives. The group leaders were holding respective house flags or banners in front of each house. The students were accompanied by all the lead students of the houses with the house coloured theme. Then the principal of the school, Mr. Anand, inaugurated the ceremony. ...cheering competition for all houses . Each house performed the best and impressive dance drama. I guess most of them were happy. Athletes were ready, and the drum beats were heard everywhere. The music started and the competition among houses begun....(a typical scenario of any sports day event in any school on earth) yipeeeee

But this year hubby n i were packing it up very early as we have to be back in KL as early as possible...So we did the sayonara kiss kiss goodbye before the final closing of the ceremony...This time i am okay for letting him go early.... I would say maybe i was not there to witness the end of the day’s events...but i bet everybody are having the fun time and congratulations to AHMAD house for being the 2013 house champion !!!!

P/S : I am so proud and would love to compliment Aqil on how fast he can ran — i, myself was so proud of his performance!. After all, he and his Ahmad gang have won gold medal for the house right...but between me and him, we were both winners of our own private races.....i love u Aqil ...

Hannah's birthday surprise !!!! June, 29, 2013

Started our journey as late as 11pm and reached Baling around 3.30 in the morning....Hubby drove before the Menora tunnel and i took over the wheel driving happily alone with the sounds of two handsome boys snoring all the way to Baling....hahahah..... We stayed at Seri Baling Inn
Well ...as my two kiddos are growing up i just love to plan petite surprise parties, so of course it was a lot of fun for me to try and put together a intimate surprise party for my Hannah's birthday. I started about a month and a half ahead of time, calling around and kind of letting some of my best buddy hoping it wont failed as last year's plan...it was a disaster when she knew it earlier...All ruined just by one call !!! Well about the plan, i don't want to spend a lot of money on decorations, so i simply ordered a personalized handbag cupcakes so it will make her feel like it's actually a mini birthday party without any balloons..i cant be carrying a giant cakes all the way from kl up to the north...But i do make sure that all the attention is on her, because this is her big day, her birthday. Of course you want her to remember this day forever..
I started to call Hannah's class mate, Khadijah to get a couple of the friends she used to hangs out with a lot and ask her to go out to the cafe nearby and we were there ahead of time of course...and WALLLLAHHHHH it surprised her well enough... Happy Birthday my sweetie pie Hannah Batrisyia! I have so so so many of thoughts and emotions running through out my mind at d moment. I dont even know where and what to begin at. I could share a thousand of memories with you.. telling you how fast time flies, many things happens in the blink of an eye and just like yesterday i sees u a chubby little Hannah and now u are turning you a beautiful lady, i am telling u now.... I knew this day would come because I watched you most of the time. I watched you learn to crawl and walk, run and jump. I listened to you cry, scream, giggle, talk and sing.(more to banging your head)..it tickles me everytime i remembers that moment... I watched you with your friends; the ones you liked and the ones you didn’t.
I was there when you were hurt (the PKP thing)and happy (the UPSR n PMR result) and confused (form 4 syllabus stressed u out)and mad and scared and frustrated and tired (maybe when u were bullied by Aqil most of the time !!!!). I am always with you even u have been far far far away for these years....I watched you grow and learn and believe (i know u can do it). I stood by you when you made good decisions (accepting the MRSM offer), and when you made bad ones too (i cant think of anything)... I knew when you were lying what can i say its more like pretending. I helped you learn about consequences (its the PKP again). I was there when you understood your school homework and when you didn’t (not the time i showered u, of course)

Hannah..I hope i have supported you enough and always. I watched you fall and I watched you get back up.. when you didn’t get back up... I pulled you. I talked with you about choices and feelings and decisions and life....maybe my nagging helps a little bit or more .. I will you help what you wanted to hear and what you didn’t... I will tell you what you needed to know and checked up as usual just to make sure you were listening....how typical of me kannnn??? I maybe teach you life’s lessons. I always tell you “yes” and “no” and “absolutely not!”

I hugged you almost every time i sees u in real life and in my dreams of course , i always trusted you, believed in you most of the time, and loved you unconditionally, – and I always will. You are my only daughter and I am your only mommy. I love who you were and who you are and I’m sure I’ll love who you will become. ...My Hannah Batrisyia
... I know that you’ll be fine, even better soon, on your own....i know for sure... Remember to always trust your intuition. If something feels right, it’s probably right... if not, it’s probably not. Remember to believe in yourself...it’s better to try something crazy than to wish you had tried it once the chance has passed. Be honest and genuine and tactful, learned the skills that takes practice... Always do remember that love is never enough... a good relationship of any kind involves trust, respect, and laughter too. Remember to exercise every day - yes, every day. Remember to choose happiness and smile, even when you don’t feel like it....even i sometimes do not follow these rules....hahahahahaha And thank u for always remember to call me often ....i love u That is just the most beautiful birthday wish you could ever have. I hope you this birthday u have a wonderful, memorable and happiest birthday. .....so long Hannah
