MCOBW 2013

I was with hubby alma mater MCKK old boys weekend recently but truth was we have been on Aqil Rugby tour and Hannahs school activities since last 2 months. A long time if you are staying in a hotel with no entertainment. Almost every child had a parent(s) here in support !!!

Today Aqil is playing rugby for U14 against OB03...his U14 team is everything.. I am very thankful that i am here though and that we could see him play his very first game in the 1st team jersey. That is always a proud moment. He has played his heart out. That child plays with so much passion. Normally i seldom easily miss any game.

It was so awesome. I have seen the teachers n myself get so excited LOL ...I am the only mom who were on the field as soon as the final whistle went. It’s just so important for Aqil self-esteem. For knowing that he is still good enough. I’m so so proud of him. I’m especially proud of Aqil, who by far played his best game ever. There is just no explaining how well he did....the perasan mom...Whatever lah!!!

Eventually ...I love all about rugby. Is a good thing that, since I am starting passionate about rugby and I can spend all day long sitting next to the rugby field. My Aqil doesn’t have to be in the team for me to love the game.

okay...back on the MC old boys weekend matters, its definately a weekend for all the ex-students of the school to return pay homage to the very place they learnt a thousands, millions and thrillions of tips on life-survival and the very place they learnt the camaraderie of brotherhood, unity is strength and every single little thing they should learnt while surviving on their own .

While some parents had doubts sending their children as young as 13 away living on their very own, likewise opinion its normal behaviour to be worried but parents should just do it. just send them out!!! its not as if u sending him without any guardian....Just let them learn on their own... survive on their own...even it was not as
bad as it thinks !!! trust me...

Let's not deny that the MCOBA spirit looms larger than any boarding school in Malaysia. Even i came across one of blog saying it has been rumoured that some people went for a Renong scholarship interview and were discreetly informed that "if you are not from MCKK, you might as well go home". Can u see any old boys network bending over backwards like that? How many times have you been to your Old Boys/Old Girls Weekend?

Most MCKK old boys would have no qualms about leaving their newborn children or bedridden mom or maybe they would themselves applying for home leave from the hospital ward just to participate in this revelry of their Old Boys Weekend.

This is the second year I personally have visited MCKK during their Old Boys Weekend - its not because i want to as i dont make it a habit of following my hubby everytime he attending the MCOBW...obviously its an OLD BOYS WEEKEND..but i am here to be with my Aqil...a super big ticket of advantages to be with him....

First of all attending this MCOBW i was duly impressed with the large turnout, even they have the occasion on dinner / lunch in their school and bla bla bla... thank God the food was not bad at all.

Its a no surprise u will bumped into many of these old boys and acted as if they are the walking encyclopedia of MCKK !! An i salute few of them that i knew would abandoned a promising career just to work full time for the MCOBA office.

mmmmmmm there u go. huhh???. that was just one story and lead to another... well perhaps one and a half. that's why should you have a friend or boyfriend or husband who's a malay collegian or budak koleq just like me and ended up in a teh tarik session or gathering of these boys, just be prepared to stay in a not less than two hours of TP AKA gebang AKA borak-borak session! But i personally on this OBW i am happy to give him a day or two off just to be with the gang ...haha.. and don't be amazed by the volume of the laughs, the kutuks, the memories and most of all the smoke on air !!! it's tradition i presumed...
